Quality Training in a Safe Environment

If you're looking for dance classes, singing classes or drama classes in Ireland why not consider Stagecoach Theatre Arts, the largest network of part-time performing arts schools, in the world. Founded in 1988 Stagecoach has been nurturing and developing young potential through drama, dance and singing every weekend during term time for 25 years.

Stagecoach is not just a dance school; it is a performing arts school for children. In addition to dance classes our students also take singing classes and drama classes under the same roof, cutting costs, but not quality. Our fees are competitive at approx €12 per hour and include many extras, such as reports, presentations, exams, medals, a bi-monthly magazine, costumes and much much more.

Unlike most dancing schools Stagecoach Ireland puts equal emphasis on drama classes and singing classes. In the dance class kids learn a wide range of styles from jazz, hip hop and street dance to modern stage and contemporary. Our dance classes do not include ballet or tap. As a school of performing arts for children we believe that singing lessons and acting lessons complement dancing classes enabling our students to become proficient all round performers.

Stagecoach Ireland's drama classes offer a multitude of styles and techniques including role-playing, improvisation, characterisation, voice projection, mime, etc. Drama schools often look for this variety of expertise in students when auditioning for professional training.

Musical theatre plays a large role in the training and singing lessons are given equal emphasis to enable student to build confidence no matter their vocal ability. Students get to sing in an ensemble in addition to solo pieces allowing them stretch their vocal range and work on vocal technique. Pop songs and musical theatre songs are used as a basis to learn these techniques and the kids get to learn fun singing pieces to take home and practice.

Stagecoach Ireland has access to a professional representation agency where kids can be offered professional work. Their dance lessons, singing lessons and acting lessons are a vital part of their preparation towards gaining work in performing arts for children if that is the path they choose. Not all children will wish to do this and Stagecoach is sensitive to children of all abilities who wish to learn performing art to either build confidence or just have fun and meet new friends.

People often wonder how Stagecoach manages quality control. This is taken care of by an independent company who train inspectors to assess drama classes, dancing lessons and singing lessons. Each Stagecoach school is inspected yearly by an Inspector who will typically spend time watching the dancing class and the other classes. Stagecoach believes that parents appreciate these spot checks, which are unique to the Stagecoach organisation. In addition to this all of our Principals and teachers are criminal record checked by the Garda and follow a strict Child Protection Policy specifically developed for Stagecoach Schools.

Stagecoach Ireland also caters for younger kids. Early Stages classes are developed for young children aged 4 - 6. This offers shorter kids dance classes and is very popular. Children love to feel they attend a dance school or drama school and they thoroughly enjoy taking part in performing arts for children.

So whether your child wants kids dance classes or drama lessons you would be wise to consider Stagecoach Ireland where you can be sure your child is getting a full education in performing arts for children. Unlike TV shows such as The X Factor, Stagecoach does not pander to short-term fantasies of stardom, although past students have gone on to have professional careers in show business, including Jamie Bell, who played the title role in the film Billy Elliott, Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, and more recently Cher Lloyd, finalist in the 2010 X-Factor series.
